A rather unusual thursday.

In an an usual turn of events, the other face of moon is looking down upon me and I for one , can not be more thankful for all I have in my life.  Just had an eye-opening conversation with my pishoo. She is from a rare breed and fromed from a decent mixture of fine and priceless ingridents.

Rewarding Myself...

I often go above and beyond my regular duties to make sure that I do a great job. In fact, I think I have an OCD about the quality of work that I deliver. Working so hard, one full time and three part-time jobs, I have been so busy. Nevertheless, I rewarded myself with one achievement. One that is associated with high achievement. Driving the first Mercedes of my life, I had a very strong feeling inside. I reviewed all it took and all it takes. I stand by my beliefs and will do my best. If this life is about enjoying the moment, I would not regret my past for a second. I did enjoy it every possible moment.

It has been a while that I am working hard and ... And i mean really hard....while on my daily full time  job, I work for a very demanding company as a senior software architect . On my part-time job, I am the CTO of a company and wear many hats to establish a company and project from scratch.  My third amusement is my part-time lecturing position at Lambton college where I am a faculty member as well as a lecturer for cloud computing. Have all these responsibilities , I am also involved with my research on my scientific endeavors towards a master of science in Computer science. Above all, I am also a  lover. Today I made my love happy with our first  2016 CLA 250 4Matic Mercedes.  Welcome to our life our new baby and I hope you bring joy to our life....

My First Academic Job

Today I signed the contract of my first academic Job. I will be a faculty member and an instructor for Cloud Computing at Lambton (Cestar) college. It was so nice when I heard my name as a faculty member. Part of me, has always dreamed of an academic life style. A life in which I explore, learn, wonder and teach.  My passion for learning has been always a trouble.  For instance, currently my mind is busy with following topics.

Today

I woke up today at 6. took a shower while I was planning for my day. Studied what I want to teach next week. Also preparing some materials for it. I went to Starbucks had a medium roast tall coffee and enjoyed reading cloud computing. Moreover, I started to learn about WordPress as I badly need a professional website.

1st Interview...

It might seem a bit funny after working in Canada for 12 years, i just had my first interview. This time, for an academic position. Maybe this is the beginning of the journey that I have always dreamed of.  I had a 10 mins presentation of Agile and I think i rocked it! In fact they liked it so much that before I get into office, an unofficial email was sent to me that they are preparing an offer! so let's see.

It's now official- A master of Science with Thesis option in Computer Science

Being from Faculty of Art, limited all my options to a master of art or master of information and it's after several months of back and forth that i made it to an offer from faculty of science.

It's in a cold winter night. It's 1:54 am and i am sitting in our den. Looking at the future that this decision can bring, I am clicking on accept button for the Ryerson University offer. They offered me in total $28,000 awards and scholarships including Ryerson Fellow Graduate award.

I will work under supervision of Prof. Miranskyy and will do my best to establish novel research line.

To my future Salman: One day, you will wake up and go to university and come back after several lectures .... No more client complain, no more ticket, no more follow-up call.....
