Simple Life .....

People say "I want peace." If you remove I (ego), and your want (desire), you are left with peace.

With a few flowers in my garden, half a dozen pictures and some books, I live without envy.- Lope de Vega

Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.- Robert Brault

Simplicity, clarity, singleness: these are the attributesthat give our lives power and vividness and joy.- Richard Halloway

Let's .......

Let’s talk about green forests
Let’s share our dreams
Let’s find a way to get away of this busy world.
Let’s leave people to do crazy things everyday
Let’s kiss the rain, let’s join the sun’s army.
Let’s cover the crimson hearts
Let’s close our eyes, let’s feel the darkness. Isn’t it easier when you don’t see the cruel world?
Let’s be together. Let’s be together. Let’s be mine, let’s be yours, we belong to you and me.

.......هنوز آنجاست

I used to ...........

I used to think that I was strong
I realise now I was wrong
'Cause every time I see your face
My mind becomes an empty space
And with you lying next to me
Feels Like I can hardly breathe

I close my eyes
The moment I surrender to you
Let love be blind
Innocent and tenderly true
So lead me through tonight
But please turn out the light
'Cause I'm lost every time I look at you

And in the morning when you go

Wake me gently so I'll know
That loving you was not a dream
And whisper softly what it means to be with me
Then every moment we're apart
Will be a lifetime to my heart

I close my eyes
The moment I surrender to you
Let love be blind
Innocent and tenderly true
So lead me through tonight
But please, please turn out the light
'Cause I'm lost every time I look at you
Lost. Every time I look at you

Crash

Last night I watched the movie “Crash”. It was a good movie. It has a great plot. It’s considering real life issues. From realistic point of view, this is a nice and fair movie but at the same time it’s experiencing lack of humanity. Usually you can learn something from movies. Personally I go to movies to be trained, to be entertained. This movie is describing the reality of some people’s every day tragedy. I didn’t learn anything from that. I was looking for a great message in every section of movie and unfortunately it leaved me craving for that.
I would have rather seen The Upside of Anger. When we begin with anger, violence and uneven life, we should address it correctly. Director leaved us at the same side as we began the story.
If director is looking for us to come and finalize the story, he has not given us enough resources to do so. Nonetheless, I want to say that this movie is an excellent depiction of what America has become because of the lack of communication, understanding and emotion. I strongly believe that at the 21st century we expect art to come and help us to change this crimson world.

Lack of Sleep.

As a busy person, I have been always working on several tasks simultaneously and eventually I don't get enough time to sleep. Those they were my colleague in Iran know me as a hard worker and none-stop guy. It was four years ago that I received a letter from Microsoft, appreciating my hardworking on IT and networking. At that time, I was thinking about Nerd wise life.

I was begging for a situation to work and live like Microsoft’s nerds. When I went to Canada, my dream welcomed true. I start working at a very high-tech position in an ASP company.
I was working from 8:30 AM till 1 or 2 AM. That was perfect. Doing several R&D tasks, I was extremely busy. I rarely found time to see my family and friends. Last June there was a communication issue between Vancouver and Vietnam VoIP routes. I spent almost 19 hours per day to solve that issue. As a person with bad headaches, sleep depriving is not a good
Option. Recently I have been sleeping even lower than 4 hours per 24 hours. Frequently I read some articles about the disadvantages of sleep depriving. I’m looking for a way to coordinate my tasks with the time that I have. Your comments are highly appreciated.

Vital Information:
• In a person who is sleep-deprived, one part of the brain shuts down while other parts will kick in to help compensate.
• Regardless of the brain's attempt to overcome sleep deprivation, a sleep-deprived person cannot perform mental tasks as well as someone who is well-rested.
• For brain recovery, the early part of sleep each night is the most important.

Unbelievable Creativity....

I have been in touch with Japanese people last week and to be honest to you I have learned tens of ideas from them.
They are humans with high level IQ, powerful imagination and excellent execution. Their creativity is awesome. They love to be pioneer; they love to create new and unique things. Their best products are dedicated for internal usage whereas they export their low quality products. Amazing thing is that their low quality product has the highest quality in the world. If you buy a car in Japan, it comes with full functionality. If you buy the same card made by Japan in another country you will find several missed facilities.

Everybody knows that Japan is not a wide country and they have lack of land for creating energy. But they need energy for their factories.
As the major city of Japan,Tokyo is the most populated city in the country. Everybody heard about its great and powerful intercity transportation.
Yeah, that’s it. They are using it as a source of electrical power. If you have been using metro entrances, you should be familiar with entrance stuffs like turnstiles.

A turnstile!

As a populated city, everyday tens of thousands of people are passing turnstiles. Each time that a person passes these turnstiles is turning a turbine to creating electricity power.

Think about it and you will find out why they are becoming the leader of Technology and science.

Canada Day!

Three days ago,1st of July, was Canada day. We went to lakeshore to see the fire work. Toronto is a big city with normal population. But At that night, almost everyone was in the street. Tens of thousands of people were happy and all together to celebrate Canada day. They were all there to say that they are proud of this free and great country. I was proud too. We were all Persian but we were signing “O’ Canada “when we were sitting at lake shore. At a moment when I was whispering “Our home and native land!” I missed something in my heart. Canada was not my native land. How could I change my native land?

The idea of having a day for our country is a perfect one. But it shouldn’t contain any ideology or a religion. It should be all about Iran, just Iran, neither democratic nor any other kind of Iran. It should be dedicated to Iran itself.

What do you think about a celeberation day for Iran?

Can You believe ....????!!!!!!!

I was working on a windows 2003 machine in Chicago today and I found that it needs to be updated with service pack 1.
As usual, I accepted Microsoft update request and then installation wizard appeared. I just shocked when I saw the file size, it was about 140 MB.

For me, it means that this …. Microsoft forgot to put half of kernel with the released version.

With a cable internet download time will be 3 mins.
With an ADSL bandwidth it will take 3 hours to download it.
With a dial-up connection , download time will be 18 hours.
(Consider that in this case you are sitting behind of your PC and your fingers are crossed to have a reliable connection)

Now please figure it out:

Whole procedure in Canada: 9 mins
Whole procedure in Iran : 27 hours

Friendship......

"Friends are windows to the world of views that you had never seen them before"

"I have been looking for happiness, I was wondering why I couldn’t reach that. I didn’t know that there is a golden key for the gateway to the happiness, I found that key when I found my best friend."

No wonder if ....

Blue skies….
White clouds….
Windy days….
Wind is moving clouds faster than we can reach them…. Faster than we can get chance to rest under their shades
Do you want to be under their shade? always? so run with them

Look at that one….
It’s whiter …. it’s faster….
I want that to be mine.
………no wonder if I’m running faster than the others.

Venerating

I know people, there are moments that they are venerating whatever that they have received in the whole life.
For me, I need the whole life to respect what I have received at the moment that I saw you

This is exactly what I think about a friendship.

You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when white wings of death scatter your days.
Aye, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.
Love one another but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other's cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other's keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together, yet not too near together;
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other's shadow.

Reiki (Episode II)

Stop and reflect for a moment. Imagine the implications of the universe around us made from energy which can be shaped and also manipulated by thoughts. This is the implication of both Quantum Physics and ancient Metaphysics. Reiki makes some diseases easier to explain, especially those which have no apparent physical cause. Also it makes miraculous cures easier to explain. For example there was research study done a couple years ago showing that prayer improves the health of those who are prayed for, the focus of intent in prayer sends thoughts out in the form of "I wish such-and-so to happen", so if the world is energy subject to the power of thought then prayers must work (depending on how clearly and carefully you hold and elaborate on the prayers or thoughts). Remember this while you are about to know what is Reiki.

Internet Pain

I had an IT class in Iran which was Internet Security. I was training a great book titled as "Hacker Exposed" and students were so happy with it. I suggest you to take a look at it.
In a country like Iran that we are using the Internet just for fun of it, security is not an issue. But for those that they are experiencing web-based life style, security is an important issue.

Network engineers have defined the following types of Internet Attacks:

• Social engineering
– Fooling the victim for fun and profit

• Impersonation
– Stealing access rights of authorized users

• Exploits
– Exploiting a hole in software or operating

• Transitive trust
– Exploiting host-host or network-network trust

• Data driven
– Trojans, trapdoors, viruses

• Infrastructure
– Taking advantage of protocol or infrastructure features or bugs

• Denial of service
– Preventing system from being used

I will do my best to dedicate one session to each title and clarify the exact meaning of each of them.

Nice Poem

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful baby
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through through it all
You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me

To whom it may ......

When you are working so hard
When you are doing something more than what you can
When your work hours is sometimes around 16 hours per day
When you are just a young boy whereas people expect you more than a 40 years man
When you have several tasks that hide them from your friends
When you sleep 23 hours per week
When you are handling the 4 major items simultaneously
If some one very close to you tell you that you are ".........." at 5 am , it will really hurt your heart.
How can you mend my broken heart? You didn't know that what I was doing yesterday.
Just keep in mind 3rd of June. I may have a surprise for you.

Thursday, June 02, 2005

When it's .............

When it’s rainy, I can smell your skin.
When it’s quiet, I can hear your voice.
When it’s warm, I can feel your arms.
When it’s cold, I can feel being without you.
When it’s night, I can hold you tight.
When it’s day, I know that you are there.
When it’s spring, I know that you are coming.
When it’s summer, I know that you are laughing.
When it’s perfect, I know that you do that.
When it’s great, I know it’s about you.
When it’s sad, I remember living without you.
When it’s happy, I remember being with you.
When it’s about my heart, I know it beats for you.
When it’s about my shoulders, I know it’s for you.
When it’s about my life, I know it’s nothing without you.

To my real love Which i found in June 2007.

Some times we need more eyes to see

There are moments that you can not believe what you have. What do you name a thing which is beyond your imagination? miracle? Is it just miracle? No it’s not.
It’s combination of love, happiness, kindness, greatness with eternity. God, I want to say thank you for everything in this great world. I want to have it longer than time.

Some times we need more eyes to see, more ears to hear, more words to talk, more times to live , more and more …. So we choose to be in love.

What is chapter 11 bankruptcy?

Chapter 11 is typically used for business bankruptcies and restructuring. It is not commonly used by individual consumers since it is far more complex and expensive to pursue. It allows businesses to reorganize themselves, giving them an opportunity to restructure debt and get out from under certain burdensome leases and contracts. Typically a business is allowed to continue to operate while it is in Chapter 11, although it does so under the supervision of the Bankruptcy Court and its appointees.

What happens in developing the chapter 11 plan?

The debtor company develops a plan with the various committees. The company or its counsel usually prepares a disclosure statement and reorganization plan and files it with the court. If is complete (if the company is publicly held, it is reviewed by the SEC), creditors (and sometimes the stockholders) vote on the plan. The Bankruptcy Court confirms the

To analyze your current

To analyze your current situation, draw a chart of your work flow. Mark all correct procedures with green , mark all wrong procedures with red. If you do not see something that should be there, write it down and try to find a place for it. Your first priority is converting the red signs to green and then you will put the missed parts into their sections.

Getting IT help

"Getting IT help is often like some nightmarish choreography that will only end when you die!! ", I read this nice and true sentence in Globe And Mail newspaper.

there was an article titled as "Paper clips and other technologies " with this idea that if there is anything wrong with your computer, finally you need a paper clip to insert it into small hole in back of your PC until you hear a long beep which means it is resented. there you go , now your lovely PC is fine and alive !

The idea that paper clip, is the world's most powerful technology, had once again triumphed. You note this in your leather-bound agenda.

Reiki (Episode I )

Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) is a method of natural healing based on the application of Universal Life Force Energy (the name literally means Universal Life Force Energy). I try to collect some information about Reiki and present it with the purpose of spreading knowledge of what Reiki is.

Reiki is one of the more widely known forms of energy healing. Energy Healing involves direct application of Chi for the purpose of strengthening the clients energy system (aura). Chi is the term used by the Chinese mystics and martial artists for the underlying force the Universe is made of. Mystics in all cultures have talked about the physical universe being made of an underlying form of something, much as modern physics research is now coming to understand the Universe is made of energy which is subject to (or affected by) thought. Just as modern physics says this energy is affected by thought the mystics also say this underlying form is affected by thought, going so far as to claim we create our own reality from our thinking and the thoughts we share between each of us every day.

I love Bill Gates !

Everybody knows that I love Bill Gates. It has been 12 years that I’m listening what he says, reading what he writes, doing what he recommend and ……
Here are some nice quotes from him.

Life is not fair; get used to it.

If you can't make it good, at least make it look good.

It's fine to celebrate success but it is more important to heed the lessons of failure.

Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you find yourself.

Often you have to rely on intuition.

Television is not real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

About me

Eternity is my time limitation.
Endless love is my kind of love.
Brightness is the feature of my darkness.
I share all Unsharable things.

Persian kind of Team Work

I was in a birthday party few hours ago and it was so funny. We had so much fun together and it was awesome. We were all Persians (20 people) except one lady. After party we were supposed to go to a dance club.
Here is the decision part :

1) We decided to go to a Persian club and someone said it would be closed. We didn’t care and we went there. Unfortunately he was right and it was closed.
2) We decided to go to a club for salsa dance , again one of us had white shoes on and they didn’t allow him in , for dignity's sake, we all decided not go.
3) The we decided to go to another Persian club , it doesn’t match with our dresses so we didn’t go.
4) We were about to go to another club that someone said let’s forget about club and let’s go somewhere else like a cafe shop and ………..

Note : at the beginning we were about 20 and at the end we were about 9. more than 50 percent loss !!!!!!!!!!!

What I want to say that above story is a real sample of our team work and that’s why we can not manage a group. In Iran I was an IT manager and I had the same issue with all of my staff.
I think they way that we think, manage and make decision is totally wrong. We have the same issue with larger scale about our society. I really want to change the way that I think, manage and make decision.
Execution is what we are missing.

I miss Traditional Life !

Yesterday I was working on a router in Chicago. I was configuring it to pass calls to another router in Vietnam, there was a disconnect issue that made me crazy. I spent 14 hours on this configuration. Can you believe it? I was just like sitting on my seat behind my Laptop and spending 14 hours nonstop while I have around 40 degree fever. Yeah, there we go. Here is crazy IT industry. When I was in Iran, I was thinking about being a Nerd!! . Now after one year and half , I would rather be a typist than an IT professional. The problem is when you are at the edge, usually no one can help you, probably because this is the first time that this device is testing in such a this condition. If you call technical support they will easily say they are interested to see the reason and will ask you if you find it please let us know. Anyway, in the 21st century still there are Happy people that they don’t have internet cable at their home. They have no idea about IT and they will not check their e-mails every 3 minutes. They should know the real meaning of happiness.

Ali & Linda a nice and true story !

Last week I watched a nice movie in HotDocs Festival . Here is the information:

Linda & Ali, Two Worlds within Four Walls(Belgium, 2005, 93 min)

Directors: Lut Vandekeybus

Short Story : Linda and Ali are a somewhat unusual couple. Twenty years ago, Ali, a Muslim Qatari, was attending university in Arizona.
There he met Linda, an American who had converted from Catholicism to Islam while in her teens. They fell in love, married and moved to Doha, Qatar to raise their family in the Islamic tradition. Seven children later, Linda and Ali have established a routine but one that’s not entirely satisfactory to either one of them. The filmmaker spent a period of two years in their home - beginning just prior to the invasion of Iraq - intimately documenting their daily lives. The clashes of their household are sometimes caused by cultural differences between East and West, sometimes by differences between man and woman. The conflict comes to a head when Linda’s mother is hospitalized and she must return to the U.S. Can Linda and Ali’s love for each other and their children bridge their two disparate worlds? Disciplinarian

Being so sick, I did not get any chance to write. Sometimes your soul will be punished and your body will pay for it. I did something wrong to my friend and now it’s my punishment. Please forgive me ……..

Business @ the speed of thought

In compare with life in Iran , here we are always at the edge. The speed of whatever we are doing is multiplying by the speed of thought. These days, I’m reading a book titled as “business at the speed of thought” ,written by Bill gates. Now I can understand what it means.

Two major arguments that have reasonable effect on foreseeable future are “Information Technology” and “Information Management”. Former is changing the way that we do the business while the latter is changing the way that we gather, Process and publish information. Everyone who involved with this revolution is working at the speed of though. Immediately after
Analyzes ,we should focus on the executable ways that will address human’s needs. Unexceptionally, next step is execution, which is the most important part. What I understand from
Living in north America is that nothing is completed till get executed.

Why Weblog Again ? do you remember Solivan ?!

Hi. There we go !!!!.Finally I restart to writing on this cybernetic world. I have been writing for 4 years on BBS's. For those that they know BBS , Solivan is a known name. Yeah ! You are right . This is Salman. I'm Persian but I’m living in Canada now. It’s almost one year and half that I'm in Toronto. I'm writing this web log to broadcast my personal ideas and describe the way that I'm living. In compare with Persia, here we are living in different circumstances. I have been in Paris and I know the European life style. I have been in Dubai too.
I want to say that living in North America is totally different from any kind of life that I have seen before.
I will clarify my personal Ideas in this web log. Sometimes I may write something which will not be matched with your ideas. That's one of web log's features. also I may paste some quotes and poems from other authors. I like archiving and it helps me to gather nice information together.
Talk to you soon.
Salman
